La Maison d’Hector is a romantic, design and boutique bed and breakfast in the romantic Perche region (Normandy), a region located just two hours from Paris on the way to Normandy.
The Perche is a gentle place, with a mild climate, natural landscapes, and a laid-back lifestyle that is very conscious of the environment. The house is a traditional “longère,” a lovely, long, stone building surrounded by lush grounds graced with gardens and a small pond.
Alain is a scientist and botanical expert who has applied his skills to the beautiful grounds. The result: a harmonious mix of plants in a myriad of shades of green.
Pierre-Yves, an inspired interior decorator who worked for years in luxury establishments, has used his skills to create a subtle and inviting décor, including one-of-a-kind lamps created by a talented weather-vane maker, Spectacularly designed bedsteads created by laser cutting, and bathrooms with multiple mirrors and engraved frames. In the morning, just-picked raspberries or other seasonal fruits are featured at breakfast, as well as homemade pound cake.
